It's 1 1/16 from front to back and yes, it's via composite. I just spliced this one into a composite cable I had laying around and powered it off a 12v from a computer power supply

I just picked one up before all of the modders here decided to grab them all up. $25 shipped isn't to bad. I'm going to be making a little dl/HTPC box.

could a composite 12v connection be connected to a laptop

...I am in the broken laptop screen section...and, lol, I am guessing at the composite blah blah in the title of my post...
My nephew gave me a laptop with a broken screen but the laptop has a 2.0Ghz processor...so it stays.
Screen size for the laptop does not matter for now.
I may also have a look around NZ for something similar....the cheapest I could replace the broken laptop screen is NZ$125.00.

My first test was a failure - the LCD was not detected by my PC. Then I tried hooking it up to my camera, and it worked. The brightness needs to be turned down quite a bit, but it works.

Now, how do I go about connecting it to PC? Maybe I need to download ATI's drivers for my ancient Radeon 9800pro?
