Did they remove the traditional RE move, stop and shoot from the NA/EU demo? I read the Japanese version will be like the originals while the NA/EU version will be move and shoot.
If that is the case then I hope the RE5 Japanese version has an english option because I will definately import over buying the NA/EU version of the game.
I plan on pre-ordering the game in support for Capcom and the original RE staff that helped in the RE5 project. It's so hard to find legit RE collectors items theses days so I might get the collectors edition. I need to get my RE collection going again.
I played the demo to death when it came out in Dec (Japanese version, burnt to a disc and played from that) was pretty good but so damn similar to RE4 (not that it's a bad thing) However I'm not a big fan of the co-op character always being there, would be nice if there was an option to play through the game just on your own, never been a fan of dragging someone else along
The good thing about the current RE5 project is that they brought in former Resident Evil 1 staff and the started putting in traditional RE features with a blend of RE4. They are also bring back the original storyline and dumping any connection to RE4. I still hate that they're not traditional zombies but in theory if the virus mutates this type of thing can happen.
i had a look at this when it was on japanese xbox live -- i'm so excited for this to come out, it's unreal
Agree, me and brother were playing co-op via live the other night, this is what RE0 should have been, i said that from day one of that game, ok being on the gamecube it wouldnt have had online play but co-op split screen would have been mint. Overall im glad the RE series has introduced co-op, been a fan of the sereis since the orignal on the PSX and cant wait for RE5
wasn't RE4 awful on pc? from playing the demo it seems to be designed with console in mind. don't know how well it would work on pc!
RE4 on PC was a complete piece of crap. If you modded the HELL out of it you could get it up to par with the GC version graphically. If you had a decent controller it was a lot better. If you went the extra mile and installed a bunch of custom mods you could have a lot of fun with. But without any mods it was a train wreck. As for RE5, it's really fun and captures a lot of what I liked about RE4. My biggest complaint, though, is the extraordinary frustration of getting a game over because my AI teammate is a retard.
true. that. i doubt i'll play it much with someone who isn't a (human) friend of mine, but it's still frustrating that it happens
RE5, what a ****ing game! Beatiful to look at and it's pretty damn fun. Deffo buy for me when its released. (But this should be a General Gaming thread as it's on the PS3 too)
RE4 was an excellent game with mods. I used 3 mods and it was light years beyond the GC version. The game looked great running at 1280x800. A decent controller? Is there really any purpose in buying anything other than a wired 360 controller.
