I just helped a friend install windows 7 pro x64 on her laptop (gateway M-6841), and she says she is having problems with the keyboard
I havent seen it myself, but from what I heard it seems to sometimes minimize the AIM window while she is typing. When she is typing in her browser, it sometimes scrolls up or down, or moves the cursor back a few characters
there dont seem to be any keyboard drivers for the laptop for any OS

That is because she forgot to install the touchpad mouse drivers.
Without drivers, that thing is SUPER sensitive. Anything coming close it will me it act like if you touching it.

Vista drivers should work. You might need to run the driver setup under compatibility mode of Vista.
