I've never quite worked out why, but it's a port of a 360 game that had the 360 controller support removed for some reason.

I remember seeing instructions to hack the support back into the game on forums ages ago, but it might end up fiddly to do.

The 360 controller worked really well with it. The 360's handling of graphics and textures, however, didn't. PC with a pad is probably the way to go, but I don't see why keyboard and mouse wouldn't be successful.

So the xbox 360 controller still works with it? Im still not sure to get a xbox controller or not, i would love to use my ps3 controller but theres too much hassle involed in my opinion to get it working. Maybe getting to grips with the keyboard and mouse is the best way.

Fingers crossed for Call of Duty stuff, but I am realistic and realise Activision are buggers.

I can't comment on other pads but I can say that a 360 pad perfectly has worked on every PC game I've wanted to use a pad on.

I have recently started using steam after reading about the bargains on here, I have a new F3 HDD and I am in the process of moving everything across onto it.

I have made backups of the two games I have downloaded but can I do the same for the saves.

I played it quite happily with a keyboard and mouse and it's a total steal at that price!

It might not work, I've noticed some Steam games still save in a default location such as 'My Documents'.

What you need to move STEAM to a different folder/drive is to temporarily move the SteamApps folder outside the existing Steam folder, then de- and reinstall STEAM and finally move the SteamApps folder to its new home...

The bit about saving under "My Documents" has nothing to do with STEAM by the way. It's just how the game developers have implemented the location of the saves folder (as per MS' guide lines). Of course there's usually a way around this, but often it'd mean relocating the "My Documents" folder altogether, which is a bit more difficult (but achievable).

    Not even that:
    -move the steam folder
    -re-install steam over the top
    -job done.

I've just set The Witcher to download in my off-peak at night period and discovered it weighs-in at 14GB!

Last month I used up 126GB of downloading ... and this month in the last 10 days alone I've managed 141GB!

Thank the lord for unlimited off-peaks ... and I thank him also for Steam deals!!

    :D
