    Thanks for the advice on the CX400. The 460 isn't just for the sims, it's also in case I want to sneak a game of L4D2 in while I'm round hers ;) - looking at the Asus 460 atm, for £128, wish the msi was the same price, as apparently it's a bit quieter.

    In regards to cooling/OCing was going to go Freezer 7 Pro with a voltage lowering cable to take it down to 9.5v so probably won't overclock - although might consider a core unlock (I don't know how much this affects temps though, anyone?) The p180mini is supposed to be pretty quiet too. So I'm hoping the whole thing should be pretty hush.

    Recently looked at getting a Phenom quad core 2nd hand but their prices are just too high atm.

    Scan has a super saver combo on Today Only. It is 546£ plus a PSU (30£) and possibly an OS if you do not have one. If it is too much then tough luck, but if you can go for it, then the below list of components offers amazing performance at a crazy low price.

    * Silverstone Precision PS05B, Black (in & out), Mid Tower Case, w/o PSU - Best Seller
    * No PSU Included
    * Intel i5 760, S1156, Lynnfield Quad Core, 2.8 GHz, 8MB Cache, Core Ratio 21x, 95W, Retail
    * AKASA AK-CCX-4002HP Venom Ultra Performance CPU Cooler Serious O'clocking LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM3
    * Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H, Intel H55, 1156, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 1600/1800/2133, SATA 3Gb/s, VGA, uATX

    Yeah, I saw this, just a shame I've already got a case ready for it, and it sits pretty high on the budget. I was originally ordered to stay under 500 including a monitor and excluding a case. Anyone looking for a sub £600 build this is really unbeatable.

    Thanks for further rubbing this great deal in my face :p

    Oops XD sorry. Well, this deal would have been overkill anyway. Besides it is so easy to advise someone on a forum to part with just little bit more of their money to get so much more performance. Everyone's guilty of that XD. Still, I'd say the components you listed offer enough speed as it is.
