Finally i'm looking to get a Full HD monitor which can help serve my purpose of gaming. Things which i'm looking in monitor is. HDMI DVI-D Audio Jack The only one seems to be matching is Dell ST 2410W. Needed the monitor for PS3/Xbox 360 gaming. Also let me know how good is the sound as i would be using it from monitor audio out usin headphones.
have you looked at 120hz monitors? They seem to have VERY low input lag unless there out of your price range.
The ST2410 requires a sound bar which is sold separately. If you are using audio out, that is nothing more than a pass through, it would sound as good as your headphones. Couldn't you plug your xbox to a set of speakers instead. All 3D monitors have about 20ms input lag. I would call that below average. Some LCD monitors have no input lag.
I use the Dell ST2410 for my desktop computer. It's a decent monitor, I got it for about £150 including the soundbar. It's not the greatest monitor, but it's pretty bright and the response time is decent. The audio out on the soundbar works fine, but getting a 3.5mm extension stereo cable might be a good idea. My father has a Dell 3007WFP, and when I use it I don't notice very many differences besides a higher resolution and a brighter screen. Anyways, I think it's a decent monitor if you're on a budget, but it would probably a better idea to save up for a better one, like a U2410, which uses an ISP panel ( Better viewing angles, etc.) Ask Goodbytes though, he seems to be the expert on monitors.
I have this monitor and it's superb http://www.oyyy.co.uk/benq-g2420hd Use it for my laptop and my xbox 360 sometimes. OOS at the moment though. This one is slightly more, but doesn't have HDMI (though you can easily get a HDMI>DVI adaptor and use another cable for sound) http://www.oyyy.co.uk/benq-g2420hdbl But it's LED backlit so will have an even clearer, crisper, brighter picture.
dont want to use speakers would be connecting Hd 202 headphones directly to monitor audio out as i want to avoid the av cables.
Thats not true... If anything LED is dimmer and has a lower color spectrum. As for clarity, that really deoends on the LCD and the screen's coating. LED does however use less power and lower profile. Also makes the image a little colder.
