My be-quiet 350W unit feels very light and a bit flimsy. Time will tell how good it is. For £30 you can't really fault it though.
Most if not all 350w PSUs are from shoddy OEMs, they're relatively cheap to make. The spot where PSUs do get good is around 420w-unlimited.
i object to that as custompc did a review on the DA800 and it only produced 656w instead of 800w meaning that it is not 100% stable
DA700 and DA1000 got killer reviews at AT and [H] respectively. At least those two deserve a spot. Plus, the 100% modular design is a definite plus. /rabid defense of a product I own
For a 1kw PSU you can't beat the Enermax Revolution 85+. I think it got a premium grade award in an issue of CustomPC.
Why were all the ModXStream Pro's removed? The 500W model was awarded the approved sticker by CustomPC and was the PSU of choice in the 500-600W range. Unless anyone has had it blow up in their face, why would you remove it? I would really like to know how the 600W and 700W models perform though, as they are also very cheap and modular.
Tagan PipeRock BZ1300 modular PSU with turn click metal connectors...Like them so much I've got 2. Best I've used so far. Before those I had a Tagan U95 1100 Watt totally solid quite and powerful.
Yeah, Tagan PSUs are great, my 480W EasyCon (gold-plated connector cheesecake) is still going strong after all those years. But once they switched to all that glow-y stuff it totally turned me off.
Hey why isnt the Antec PSU's on the list i have the antec 850w truepower and its brilliant its stable and very quiet
ive got 2 antec truepower 850 1 in mine and 1 in my nephews and *touch wood* they havent died yet and have been performing really well. they have been in the systems for about a year
You can not judge PSUs by simply checking if they work under normal conditions. Stressing a 850W unit is very hard without proper equipment. This applies: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/410
