Agree with all of the above.

Will be a proper PC game for PC gamers, none of this multi platform rubbish.

Could be one of the few games I buy at full price. I'll leave BF3 to the bunny hoppers and base rapists.

    Aye completely agree.

RO2 should keep me happy for a good couple of years as the original RO did.

Why is $39.99 a "Surprising price?"

because other publishers usually launch their pc games at $49.99 and big name publishers (EA & Activision for example) launch their games at $59.99.

Tripwire are selling the game at this price and they will have plenty of DLC for free to boot. Hell, the game will launch with two mods. One for the Pacific and one for vietnam.

I know this will make me look shallow, but I'm a little put off by the graphics.

I never played any Red Orchestra game however but this one has caught my attention so I might give it a shot !

Never heard of the Red Orchestra games before? Il do some investigation and see what the fuss is about.

Pics dont look 'impressive' but that doesnt mean it wont be a good game. Far from it.

the pics don't do the graphics justice.

Here's an old demo of the game that shows most of the cool stuff you can do:

The first RO was so under-rated, it was more realistic than Day of Defeat: Source, and just had some great touches to it, especially things like 'bullet whizzes' and I think little screen shakes as the bullets went over your head, the zoom on the sniper scopes etc. I hope this is just as good if not better than the first one.

After watching that vid i'm a bit dissapointed to learn that the range pops up after shooting someone with a sniper rifle. People should learn to judge distance without aids, it makes hitting people from really long distances all the more rewarding.

@ knuck and bdigital. The graphics are from Unreal Tournament 3, so are not exactly cutting edge but not bad either and any graphics engine would be a massive improvement over the ancient one used for the first Red Orchestra.

i would agree with you on this point but the thing i've realised is that distance in video games =/= distance in RL. Sniping is the main reason i'm buying this game. Oh, and the tank combat.:jawdrop:

Doesn't bother me too much, i'll be away on holiday. Probably works out better this way, for me anyway.
