Do me a favour (test site speed)

    I need UK/EU/US people to test these sites and let me know how fast they are for you:

    http://rog.asus.com/

    http://www.asus.com/ (Global portal)

    http://www.asus.com/ (UK portal)

    We're discussing where to put servers to make our web-experience better for users as most are sitting in TW right now. We've got a lot of bandwidth, but we just don't know the latency for Europe and the US.

    If you could let me know:

    Where you live.
    Your internet speed.
    If the above sites are as fast/faster/slower than national sites you usually visit, that would be great :)

    BT - Speedtest said 3.4Mbps :(

    Around the same, a little slower though- nothing that would cause a problem in general for me.

    The flash on the ROG site was pretty slow to load however and I got an error when I 1st clicked the MARS GFX card.

    1st link - fast.
    2nd link - slower (but not annoying-slow)
    3rd link - ridiculously fast.

    I'm in California, Verizon ADSL, speedtest says 6.4Mbps.

    1, 4 sec

    2, 3 sec

    3, 3 sec

    All pretty fast 3rd much faster than the Asus site normaly is

    1st link: 2.34s to load
    2nd link: 1.49s to load once clicked Global
    3rd link: 1.79s to load once clicked UK (and wiped cache).

    Virgin Media 10mb. No problems with the sites :)

    Ive always found the ASUS website to be a bit slower than other especially on the Global Landing Page. Not so bad on the UK one though.

    Virgin Media 30Mb

    Loading times were fine, the RoG site was noticeably slower than the other 2 for me and the UK on was a touch quicker than the international site.

    UK - Current connection speed 7.5Mbps.

    1 - Pretty good speed.
    2 - Bit slower than the first, but not intolerably slow.
    3 - Noticeably faster than the other two. - Faster than almost all other sites I regularly visit.
