Not really in a need of an extremely powerful amp, the speakers are 4 ohm and has a sensitivity of 90 dB.
I just put that amp up for the chance you wanted alternatives to the NAD. Normally you need a better amplifier for 4 ohm speakers because the 4 ohms presents a greater load and current demands on the amplifier than a load of 8 ohms. It is a shame that seperate amplification cost so much money.
that & theres something about 5 seperate monoblock amps sat under your av decoder that strikes fear into the heart of a normal person
hidden assets No biggies here but a 19" screen and 5.1. wires under flooring. still adjusting the shelving and stuff. Saving for a projector for my wall. while im here does any body know if im better using my mobo abit kd7 onboard 6 channel audio or my soundblaster live 5.1?? anywayz heres some pics ::
hk Is that projector in your place hk? What make/model? How much d'it cost? How big's the image go before getting fuzzy? I used to play games on one of these at work last year Need my own (but ~£2,000 at entry levels a bit much!!) Also, how far from the wall do you place the projector to get a decent sized picture?
its a work projector, i borrow it from time to time to practise work presentations over the weekend, but when thats done of course the gaming and film watching begins It goes quite big, I havent managed to get the damn thing to get so big that it blurs yet, would like to kill the street lights and project across the street, that would be funny. Its a 3M projector, no idea of model (cba to check).

very nice my friend, those speakers look swisha-a-hah, hmm that reminds me i need to invest in some decent grade speaker cable, but dont see the point am only here for another 4 months ish, then i get to return home to my studio
Yeah the build quality and appearance of the Mordaunt-Shorts is amazing for the price - £250 for the floorstanders, £120 for the centre and £180 for the rears, plus they sound real nice with the Yamaha amp (much better than my older Yamaha too). Loads of nice little details, like the terminals on the back of the speakers are done very nicely and the feet are damn kewl too. The cabling is all Gale stuff and isn't too pricey but it does the job nicely, the only drawback being it's size, though I quite like it as it gives it sorta 'rugged' look . You seem to have accumulated a pretty impressive collection of stuff in your room - though I am surprised your desk hasn't collapsed yet under the strain
My home theater (as of current) It currently consists of a Compaq P1210 22" or 21" monitor, Bradford IC FET 8-track reciever, and HUGE Panasonic speakers, they are 40mm and you wear them on your head! (read: headphones First pic is the stereo, second pic is my ghetto modded speakers. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=2035359&uid=1046734&members=1
I have a set of JVC bookshelf speakers, but I a=still need to drag them to the computer. BTW if you are looking for good headphones get the Panasonic $30 ones. I use them 6+ hours every day, very comfortable, pretty good sound. The one problem is each driver has it's own wire, i've modded them so both wires come out of the right ear.
Sadly I don't have any of this yet but This Is what I want to get. Right now I have a nice 20inch Flat Screen Tube with a box surround sound set up
