OP works in a call centre. They're paid to sit about doing not a whole heck of a lot until a customer phones in, wherein they assist the customer in understanding just how inept at life they've been by pointing out that the button labelled PWR doesn't actually stand for "Push While Ringing". During my time in such an institution I got very adept at stacking playing cards into towers extending well higher than my cubicle's walls.
man the downtime during summer.. I work as a security consultant, but those whom I may be consulting with or for are all on holiday. So I'm sat here trolling this and oc'ers heh
yeah.. there isn't any work to do.. so I'm kinda bored.. but it seems like reddit would take some of my time!

We used to do things like look for the countdown music on the internet or boings and buzzer sounds off game shows, sounds dull, is dull, but just about beats the boredom

Microsoft Virtual Academy Go learn about cloud services and then stick your accomplishments on your CV. Then, hit up the open uni and do some of their free to learn courses (you have to pay for materials and exams) and once again stick that on your CV. And then - if your employer catches you "bettering yourself" you could even try and blag your work to pay for some of said materials and exams.
