Asteroids Contra Bubble Bobble Ultima Age Of Empires Warcraft Starcraft HOMM (Hereos Of Might & Magic) Silent Hill Resident Evil Pacman Tetris Duck Hunt Freelancer (yes, was released 2003 but still....)
Thankfully someone's mentioned Ultima VII (both parts), Ultima VIII and Ultima Underworld. So, I'll go with: Kings Quest 1 through 3 (the text driven versions, not the point and click ones). Space Quest 1 through 3 Blood (I live ... again!) Alpha Centauri Outcast (probably a bit too recent, but a great game nonetheless)
Jurassic Park (SNES) Lemmings (Amiga 1200) Theme Park (Amiga 1200) Speedball 2 (Amiga 1200) Magic Land Dizzy (Amiga 1200) Tetris (Gameboy) Marioland (Gameboy) Turtles (NES) Thats just of the top of my head
Ahhh its gotta be Tetris Doom Lemmings and the comand & conquer series Prob some of my all time favs.
The ones i always remember playing are: Total Annihilation Age of Empires Death Rally SuperMario Bros Carmageddon Star Fox Mega Bomberman
You know what is weird, i look back on a lot of these games listed and remember them fondly, maybe its because i was younger (i started gaming around 13yrs old on PC) but i seem to find i look back on some of these an think yea that was good, i dont find myself thinking the same about titles in recent years. X-Com/UFO Enemy unkown series also
Old Skool? The Staff of Karnath and Entombed Mindwalker The Sentinel Carrier Command Mission Impossible Tower of Bable ELITE Castle Wolfenstein Doom Quake
Nope, definitely Oddjob. Vertically challenged, horizontally blessed oriental chap with a rather lethal taste in sartorial headgear. Goldfinger's henchman rather than Scaramanga's annoying midget. Nick Nack wasn't in the game at all and for a handicap to the best player we used to make them play as a Moonraker trooper in the banana suit. I spent WAAAY too much time on that game Aaaarrgh! Now I have the menu music going through my head! You rotten swine you! Good fun game though, it's probably what started my love of mech type games. Had a ferret through my old games and found a PC one circa 1992 - Legend. An isometric RPG which still has one of the most well rounded and customisable spell casting systems I've ever seen.
Really? Balls, my brain must really be getting addled with age or beer (or both)lol Still, I'm going to continue to believe that I'm right and you're wrong (despite knowing it to be the other way around) and use it as a really shoddy excuse to force the missus into playing it again! Thank you for providing me with thinly veiled retro-gaming foreplay
Yep, really. My short term memory is called "post it notes", long term is a fuzzy logic indexed database - I remember the details of the games I played 15 years ago better than I do the one I played yesterday. I haven't exactly been kind to my brain over the years Anyone else remember a stupidly addictive platform game called Flood? I loved that game until I finished it Spoiler They killed Quiffy! The *******s! Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge is another candidate as I recall leaning so much while using the stick that I fell off the chair! Oops?
ones I remember the most.. besides a lot mentioned here- like jazz jackrabbit xD and more familiar ones was wizards of wor (remember playing this on the midway system in the 80's) we'd stay up all night and play this game coop then when got older.. on atari 800xl- alternate reality really stuck in my mind.. it was really one of the first rpgs on the computer that had a 3d image rendered as you walked through the world.. the music was pretty good for it's time too on console.. madden (played in a sony tourney once).. tomb raider.. twisted metal
