Talla, why don't you make it a Bit-tech wedding. Invite Bit-tech members.

Imagine the wedding presents, and your (then) wife's face at your glee over a GTX 590.

Congrats :) I got married a couple of months ago (after having been engaged for around 1.5 years). The planning can get busy, but it's definitely worth it in the end :) :thumb:

    Congrats Dega!

How did you pop the question? Big grandiose gesture? Or romantic and cheesy? :D

we looked at a house yesterday. dad is taking a look at it today to see if everything is all good and if the price is good.

if all is well and the owners are able to buy the house they want, then we just need to get some information to the bank and we could own a house by the end of the month

also found out about renting the place where we want to have our wedding too :)

Grats, Dega. May you have all the happiness you seek, and may the two of you be as in love at fifty years as you were on your wedding day. May you and your children live in the most boring of times (as living in interesting times is a curse) and your children be fat, happy and let you sleep through the night.

In other words, I hope your future wife is a good one.

Results from excercise are showing more prevalently, and I most likely will hang out with a great friend of mine tomorrow. That and almost no coursework.

Having heard this morning that the missus's car is done and fixed. What makes it more awesome is that I told my mechanic mate what's wrong, he believed the car electrician... I was right. EVEN better is that it didn't cost me or the missus a cent... if you don't count 3 months without a car for the missus.

    Back story:
The starter broke on the Missus's Mk2 Golf.
I called around endlessly, only to realise replacement starters are not only viciously expensive, but also extremely hard to come by.
We eventually got it restored, and replaced it in the car. Result:
It turns, but won't let go until you physically disconnect the battery. Also, the Engine won't catch (which is a good thing, seeing as the starter won't let go).

So myself and my mechanic mate double and triple checked all the wiring, and found nothing wrong. So we took it to the guy who refurbed the starter.
He confirms that the wiring is right, but believes the issue to be in the overall condition of the wiring harness (which for years has only been touched by sh!tty backyard mechanics that screwed up so much around this car).
So he replaced the wiring, and still the starter acts up.
By this time, my mate believes the issue to be on the Engine side of things... possibly a skew gearbox or something.
I keep telling him to just try another starter.
Eventually, the electrician orders another starter, which took 8 weeks to get. The new starter in place, the car starts again, all the electrics work, and she purrs as much like a kitten as she possibly could...
