Is it all windows updated? Only time I have seen this is again on Win 7 Ult - fake copy and windows update wouldnt run so it was the vanilla copy. Kept doing the same - told customer to either buy it or downgrade back to Xp which the machine came with.
from what i remeber divx has recently downloaded a new update so yea maybe it is that, ill try this 1st then if not i guess ill be re installing windows 7 and de-activating windows updates, thanks guys
just searched this file "DivXMFSource.dll" in this directory: C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Plus Media Foundation Components deleted this file now....explorer.exe doesnt crash anymore while searching my system... thanks alot lysol ur advice worked
