    Yes I have been talking to Molex in the UK - but to be honest - plonkers - they didn't know they sold them until I quoted part number & they never did come back to me with a price (probably because I told them not to bother if unit price was >40p in 1000 quantities..) - normal molex females cost me under 10p each. But I have to crimp & solder all adds time :(

    for the evil baybus empire no doubt :D

    no luck so far btw :/ and im beginning to feel a desperate need for sleep. rewired the whole house with cat6 in readiness for broadband D-day, but im short of faceplates, so i might try down at the local place when im down there, pretty knowledgable folk down there

    Check out Leviton, they have faceplates. My uncle used their stuff for his home networking project (well of course he did, he writes all their software)

    I know Cat5 is 8 strands of 24ga solid core copper wire, not sure about Cat6 though. Maybe it's bigger or thicker or faster.

    Right.

    Cat-3: designed for <= 10M/b nets and voice
    Cat-5: designed for <= 100M/b nets
    Cat-5e: pretty much same as cat-5, but works a LOT better on 100M/b nets
    Cat-6: designed for gigabit nets

    All wire is backwards compatable so you can use cat-6 on anything.

    Cat6 cables are much more expensive though.

    Now lets get back on topic.

    Oclocker: Yea, it would be REAL COOL if Baybus.co.uk stocks them!

    Also IIRC Cat-6 has a thingy on the inside of the cable that looks like a plus sign, separates the pairs (i.e. green/white-green has its own quadrant of the cable), and has a more temperature-resistant coating. The coating thing may have just been this one particular type of Cat-6, though.

    Same here.
    Then I requested another model number and they said they recieved the request... but then nothing happened.

    Emailed ScorpionMod a couple times regarding placing an order... no reply back.

    Checking on Farnell almost daily... nothing happened.
