Lovely build,a lot of detailed thought went in to this.

Dont take the next comment as a detriment to your ability at all.

I have one fly in the black and polished ointment, the tubing....or more to the point, the fittings for the corners.
Try a Rothenberger pipebender, you wont have the issue with the guides being misformed, thats if you want to have another crack at it.
Some pipebenders can make a 180 in 60mm space.

Bending prechromed copper is a pain, the chrome can flake and crack quite badly.

i for one find that the copper gpu block really fits in. please don't plate it :p. it breaks the pattern and makes it shine in a way. if you go for a plated block, it will just blend in and (according to me) become "meh".

awesome build. like, "holy carp" awesome.

The plated pipes look awesome! Nice to hear about a company that's willing to help not just make money.

Fine story. And good guy. I bet it's not the last time you're going to use his services. Nice way of doing business. The word will hopefully spread and give him many more casemod customers.

Well, thank you. I'm happy now. THE BLUE HAS GONE!!!!!

You're not just saying that to keep me from nagging, are you?

OK, OK, I choose to believe you. ;)

Be cute, skip school, get money. Actually, he might have done more harm than good.
You can't chrome the GPU block. You will lose all the contrast the SS coverplate makes.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :thumb:

I have been drooling since I first saw the platinum ram sticks. And they would suit this build perfectly. But the cheapest I can get four sticks for is 230 bucks, and right now I can't justify this when I have no job. So yes, I really like them. No, I wont be buying them.

@ B NEGATIVE I just recently started following your project and the pipework is very nice. In the photo above, the bent pipes look great on all the extra real estate that board has. But I really like the fittings I'm using. And I like the way this layout looks. I have looked for better quality benders but they are priced very high and I have to really cut back my spending. So in some peoples eyes it may look like my project is suffering from cutting corners, but I think it's going well and I'm pleased with how things look. :)

Love it and such a great feeling when unexpected things work out. :) The best part was John giving Anika the 10 bucks :thumb:

The pipes look great and just love the angular lines. As for the ram blocks, now that you have a few more hours of free time, I think you could make so very nice aluminum blocks :hehe:

Dont think im just criticizing, your build is fantastic and certainly isnt suffering from corner cutting :thumb:.
You can only work with the budget you have and you are right in saying the quality benders are high priced...especially if you only use them a few times.
Its a shame you are not in the UK,i would gladly lend you my set and some autocuts!

Rather than drool over the page again,i will vote with my feet.....5 stars for fine work, not the hardest choice i have had to face, you made it very easy for me.

Very clean, concise and very much my cup of tea. :D

AFAIK the reason that it takes a while is because the chemicals which are necessary for a decent chroming job are not allowed in NL anymore. I brought a couple of chrome detail strips for my dad's old-timer to the plater, and it took about 7 weeks.
What i was told is that they send them to country's like Poland or Russia where they still work with these chemicals. But the result was worth waiting, even tho the strips were over 50 years old, they have a much better finish than new B-quality stuff ( Original is not available anymore)

Dear Corsair, please sponsor this awesome dude with 4 nice platinum ram sticks of the highest grade you have, they would absolutely fit this project perfectly.

And just in case Corsair never look at hot projects, Attila ask them, they might be really happy to sponsor you, give it a try mate. :)

Lovely result Attila very good that U found a place not far away from U to plate the pipes.

Something about the loop U are using now. Personaly I like the previous loop a lot more. For some reason it fits better with the total look the build. :worried:

I agree with alain-s. "Something has changed", I thought when I replied last time, but I couldn't see what it was. Now I can and I liked the old loop more.
