Just got a most awarded on my battle report :D

I'm playing massively better now than when I started, it's amazing the difference a round a night can make! Used to be a couple of big sessions a week.

Was going to ask about a gun I kept getting killed with earlier but I've forgotten what it's called... Seemed new to me, mighty rate of fire.

Speaking of which ^^ We won both rounds of seine and caspian so far on the EU server by 200 tickets of 375 tickets. At one point had a bipod 240B ex mags, 3.4x scope from second bridge to c bridge, just mowing down guys behind that container, was sweet :D

Cheapest I've seen the DLC expansions going at the moment is £9.60 at Green Man Gaming after using the 20% off code.

What does everyone prefer to use when recording video?

Like Koi said Dxtory is awesome, its £30 at last purchase but worth every penny. All my videos have been recorded using Dxtory.

There is a setup guide in the Software section posted by Draca. Will link you tomorrow.

It can also output to Xsplit etc

Better than a capture card as they are expensive and drivers have been funky of late.

I REALLY need to get back to BF3 again. Playing CoD:Blops2 with my boy and CS:GO when alone is simply not enough! I must have C4 and vehicular destruction!!11

Cheers guys, I'll have a look at Dxtory.
I've managed to find Draca's thread in the Software area, will have a read through that. :)

His guide is excellent and is how I have Dxtory setup.

I will say the videos recorded are rather large dependent on the game you are playing.

For example. We played Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory at the weekend, the low res graphics etc yielded only 70gb of video for nearly two hours video. Compared to Battlefield 3 your talking two hundred gigs plus.

I can fill my 1tb in a matter of hours.

What res are your recording in? 720p would be enough for me. Also, is there any way to use a second PC as a specific recording rig?

    I record at 1080p.

Yes there is but it requires using a Capture Card, which retail at £160 or so, and there have been lots of issues of late with drivers.

To the point where a lot of youtubers/streamers have gone back to software based recording.

The capture card does all the recording/preocessing reducing the system usage, but is limited in bit rate and fps.

The last recording I did was 1080 at 60p, was 16:46 long and 41.2GB.

wow (If you don't watch it all start at 3:30):
