This I had when trying to connect through a korean VPN, however, just now I tried connecting through an American VPN and I didn't get this message.

 

Dudes am I missing something.
When I try and join a server it tells me the game isn't out yet and I have to wait till Nov 1st?

Sorry I just read about the VPN stuff.

 

Follow this if you haven't seen this post already bud. Instead of picking a Korean connection, try one from the USA.

Update: First crash, was about to jump over a ledge and the game froze

 

Korean one worked fine for me, bedtime now, no more gaming

 

Maybe too many attempts to the server or its been cached?

No idea just yet Ive not received myne yet.

 

In regards CD key in use, have those people uninstalled the beta?

 

Good question, I never thought about this! haha, I am going to delete it if possible

 

I uninstalled the Beta and had a go at the BF4 campaign last night (using a Korean proxy) - have to say I think it's pretty good so far. Nice set pieces and smoother gameplay vs the beta.

Tried to log into a multiplayer server and got a message about needing to install punkbuster - anyone else seen this?

My PC is getting on a bit, got an i7-860, 8GB ram with a nice 680GTX running at 1080p.

Was getting a solid 60fps in the campaign with all gfx options set to high. On ultra it dropped to around 50-ish. Not sure whether I'll get the same results in MP thou.

I was getting a stuttering/freezing 3fps on Auto settings, while cpu@40% & gpu@10% ....updated the standard ms gpu driver to 331.65-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql which resolved the issue, weird cos beta was fine on default ms driver.

 

You were using the Microsoft driver?

FWIW, I purchased game+premium via the mexican proxy + activated over american VPN. No issues, so far. There was a [DICE] guy that came onto one of the servers earlier and then a couple of guys quit


edit: I also purchased bf3 premium through india

with regards to the vpn you need to connect to the vpn, launch and login to the origin client then disconnect from the vpn, job done

 

In general, the default Microsoft drivers will be the most stable ..after all Microsoft wrote the os, so it stands to reason they will create a stable driver for that os. Given the game still hasn't properly launched yet + no issue during beta + EA have already put their hands up to stability issues .....I'v no reason to believe this is a Microsoft problem.

I will go back to the default Microsoft driver as soon as possible.

 

Newest drivers and overclocked my 660ti to 1175/6720
Should be good enough for a mix of high and ultra settings from the benchmarks iv been seeing.

 

boo dont tell me that I sold my 660ti to upgrade

 

660ti will run BF4 just fine on high/ultra with a spot of overclocking. otherwise easily all high settings at stock.
