Does anyone know if it's possible to get spare/replacement keycaps for the QPAD MK-80, bearing in mind the backlight situation? (I think these are a version of an OEM keyboard, but not sure).

I think Ducky sell cap sets for backlit keys, but the modifiers won't fit the MK-80.

Is it a full set you're after or do you have worn caps you're looking to replace? The MK-80 uses the same layout as the Coolermaster Quickfire Pro - I think the OEM board was an iOne Scorpius.

Your board suffers from a common gaming keyboard issue - the bottom row has 1.5x CTRL and ALT keys, 1x Windows / Function and a 6x spacebar. The 1.5x and 1x keys aren't the end of the world, but a 6x spacebar with mounts in the right places can be hard to find.

What are you looking for over your current keycaps? They're thin ABS, I imagine, which is about all you can get for backlight compatibility. If you don't want to lose the light-up legends your options are very limited.

At the moment I'm looking to swap a couple of keys to match the keyboard layout I actually use (US vs UK) but also curious about the longer term situation re replacements. Thanks for the useful information.

Specific keys that match what you have will be tricky to find, I suspect, you might end up having to get a complete set, unless you don't mind them not matching and can find the individual keys somewhere...

Switching from ANSI to ISO is a tricky business, depending on which keys you're wanting to swap out, as it's not just a case of legends but of layout.

Thawn, if you're happy with translucent keycaps then this kit will cover your whole board.

I have a whole list of them. I'll put it here when I get back home.

    EDIT: Keyboard Pearltree

I would take a look at Qtan and his e-sport gaming equipment.

Which keys do you need? I might be able to help out.

I have these for the Coolermaster/Qpad boards

Just thought that I would share my caps, I got them today, picked them up from the Post Office after paying Royal Mail handling duty plus vat totaling 13.5GBP on a $42 value, how they come up with figures, I have no clue.

These caps came out really nice, very impressed by the overall quality, F and J scoops are also a bonus. Thanks again to Matt from DT/GH, splendid job.

    Nice Shrop!

I have been waiting for mine. It looks really nice. Like a futuristic vintage board.

Thanks for the offer, at the moment I want a US 2 (with @) and US ' (with ") whereas yours are UK/Euro-style.

You can try QPad directly, they'll send you individual caps, but expect to pay for them. I think it was something like 6 euros posted for a single cap, but I assume they'll combine shipping for a few. You won't get full sets from them though - been there - many promises, no cheese.

That reminds me. I'm now free of the lurgy (mostly), just in time to go back to work!

I'll post your stabiliser out 1st class on Monday, mate.

[edit] Bugger! That was supposed to be an edit, not an additional post.
