i just did the test and scored 3855 @1920x1080 i5 3570k stock @3.6ghz 8gb corsair 1333 ram 2 stock msi 970s
Sure that was on extreme HD setting? that's roughly 1400 points more than me and comrade. Edit ooops soz noticed u have 2 970's
Yeah, I think you need to first enable the DSR factors in the Control Panel: Then you'll be able to set DSR resolutions in GeForce Experience: I think you'll also be able to select the DSR resolutions in the individual games' options too, depending on the game.
just tried the dsr on my 4k monitor and i can get a 7680x4320 desktop its tiny icons tho i cant get a game to play tho
For comparison, I just ran the sky diver test myself on my GTX 770: Score: 17710 Graphics: 27439 Physics: 6570 Combined: 15871 On a non-overclocked i5 2500k.
Pulled the trigger on the MSI 970 over the weekend so should arrive this week . I'm concerned over the amount of coil whine complaints I've read, but with anything you get more negative feedback than positive, so will wait and see. I'm going to bench my current rig tonight/tomorrow to see what the difference is, though my 570 is currently giving up on me (refusing to output a second screen, inconsistent frames) so probably not the fairest of comparisons.
For Comparison - My 780 with the 4790K (running on an ITX board) purposely run at stock for the purposes of the test... I picked up the 780 for a snip prior to the release of the 9xx series, I WONT be upgrading
I just ebayed my 780Ti - got £270 for it. Bought a MSI 970 and planning for another to venture into SLI. Am staggered by the low temps and high frame rates while still keep noise to minimum! Defiantly worth the upgrade in the long run (if you can call it that).
Have you all seen this? I think I'm going to ring up Ebuyer and see if they'll honor it though I ordered the card a couple of days early.
I knew something like this would happen, would have loved those games too. I've always gotten free games with my gpu purchases and thought it was odd that I didn't this time. Bought mine less than a week ago grrrrrr.
Spoke with Ebuyer and they've just emailed me the code (not actually dispatched my card yet). YMMV, but it's worth giving your retailer a call and seeing what they'll do for you.
Aria, looks like a negative though Still, I got the card for £40 less than the RRP due to a pricing error, so I suppose I could put that towards one of these games (if any of them turn out to be worth spending money on of course)!
