OK so no typeface restrictions... this could get interesting. :D

Just so we're all clear on the design - now that you've decided to remove the typeface restriction, is there anything else that people need to know? I only ask because you mentioned that you wanted a standard advertising magnet, but LennyRhys's design is more of en entire car wrap or large-scale graphic. I'd like to know if any other rules are getting tossed before I spend too much time on this.

Indeed - TGS is looking for somebody to design a magnetic vehicle decal to go on a car door for advertising purposes. This is all in the first post, and it's what I designed.

Not meaning to antagonise, but did you read the first post? It's all there. And just to be clear, magnetic vehicle decals are large scale graphics by nature... otherwise they'd be completely useless at advertising.

Don't think they've got much to do with chlamydia.

No offense taken. I did in fact read the first post with the original rules. Perhaps there's a cultural disconnect. When he asked for a magnetic door decal, I thought of the smaller types of magnets that I usually see on fleet vehicles around town. The decals are smaller so that they can be easily moved to another vehicle as necessary, therefore they aren't much bigger than the space inside the driver's side door.

I guess TGS could provide a little more clarity as to what size or format he's looking for.

I would assume car door panel size.

He said they use their own "cars", not vans.

    Anything bigger wouldn't fit anywhere.

I was wondering that myself. Some googling made me conclude that it probably means St Louis.

Yeah we've definitely thought of something different. When I think vehicle decals for advertising, I think more of a graphic that would cover both doors on a family-sized car or small van. My thinking is that magnetic decals can easily be cut to accommodate door hinges and the like, so a big decal covering two door panels is no problem.

All in all, if the graphics we're designing are vector based, I guess dimensions are irrelevant because they can be infinitely resized anyway. :cooldude:

Yeah, we won't be going that big. They need to easily come off at the end of the day because they're personal vehicles

I have used a similar design to this before for a gardening services and it used on all their marketing and business branding and is highly effective.

Here's my final effort including a logo, showing various colour options and layout flexibility.
