Depends on what you already own! I've picked up Witcher 2 for £2.24, all three in the Bioshock series for £5.99 and Lords of the Fallen for £11.99! Tempted by Total War: Attila, but I've all these games to finish yet!
Works out well for me because I'm skint but it would still be nice to pick up a few bargains for a rainy day.
I picked up some good bargins, but it is always worth checking the sale prices against the prices on kinguin. Managed to get a game for 79p on kinguin that was several pounds in the steam 'sale'.
Steam don't even seem to be matching there own previous sales prices, generally I'm disappointed in this sale so far compared to the last couple years.
So Far I have bought via sales. Steam: Among the Sleep. Metal Gear Solid V. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Sir, you are being hunted. The Talos Principle. If you are a Portal fan then this will really please you fantastic game and from the Company who Made Serious Sam The First Encounter the first game I played on the PC. GOG Indiana Jones and the Emperors Tomb. Legend of Grimrock 2 All told the cost has been a little over 30 quid, so pretty good.
The temptation is too much, I keep hovering over Project cars and so tempted, but playing Dirt rally at present. Is Project cars worth it if I already have Dirt rally? So far I have purchased the Metro redux collection for £6.79, I already own the original 2 that were in a past Steam sale.
Project cars is a great driving sim but make no mistake on the higher difficulties that's what it is a sim game. On easy or with full driver aids it's pretty arcade style once you remove them becomes a lot more fun and challenging.
Just looked through the encore and saw nothing interesting so my list this summer is as follows: Cities: Skylines The Fall Ironcast Little Inferno Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Never Alone Road Redemption Saints Row 4 GOTC Sonic CD The Stanley Parable This War Of Mine Wings Remastered Wolfenstein: The New Order I was hoping to pick up Dying Light but the discount was minimal just like most stuff this year.
Platformers/Sidescrollers Castle Crahsers - $1.50 Battleblock Theater - $1.50 First Person Puzzle Stanley Parable - $3.74 Antichamber - $4.99 Point and Click Adventure Gram Fandango Remastered - $7.49 Sandbox/Dumb Goat Simulator - $2.50 Garry's Mod - $4.99 I can say I owned and played all these games before the sale. If you're into any of these genres I can tell you that these games are awesome and totally worth the money. Buy them!
Kinda disappointed with the sale tbh, that said i did pick up the following, in no particular order - Mini Metro Hexcell Infinite Circuits Shadowrun Returns Deus Ex: the Fall
Just reinstalled Battlefront 2 and modern warfare from disk but just come to reinstall world at war and disk is redundant even after clean. Another one in the sale CODWAW. I had already reinstalled from disk it at the start of the year but after installing windows 10 I decided to install the latest Ubuntu as well which ended disastrously.
So far I have got The forest Borderlands the pre sequel Left for dead 2 Project cars - gifted to alfizzle
Bit of a c*** sale to be honest. I bought Telltale Games' Game of Thrones, Crusader Kings II and Max Payne 3, but was hoping for a bigger discount on GTA V.
Nice cheap sale for me, only bought Banished for £3.74 Also sold an item for Warframe for £1, so really only spent £2.74,
It's over! Total Damage: $13.59 - Talos Principle: $3.74 - FRACT OSC: $7.49 - Grim Fandango Remastered: $19.99 - Cities: Skylines: $3.74 - Valiant Hearts: The Great War: $3.74 - Octodad: Dadliest Catch: Total: $52.29 You got me again, Valve! So far Cities: Skylines has been fun. I'm especially looking forward to FRACT OSC and Talos Principle as well. I did sell $5 worth of trading cards during the sale, so that's an extra 10% discount.
