Man, that's sweet It doesn't look /quite/ as chrome as chrome normally is tho. Like they didn't polish the steel but rather dipped it as is. Still rocks.
Looks awesome! The waterblock and pump are great, but why are you using such a tiny radiator? You could fit a nice big heatercore and dual 120mm fans in there just fine.
I never liked those cases because of the flat grey steel interior. Needless to say, this changes everything, that crome looks amazing. Good deal to I'd say, chroming the whole inside for 50. That looks like a whole lot of area to me. Looks like a fine project, Ill be watching closely. And a chrome radiator too
Changed the mobo to ABIT NF7-S rev. 2.0 and my memory Still waiting for my rad to arrive from chroming
I am using a Black Ice Extreme 2. am just waiting for it to be chromed. It's a pain in the ass chroming rads
Absloutly love the chrome But wouldnt get the outside done in chrome, stick with something like black. Cant wait to see how this turns out.
those are the final release of cathar, i think he dropped the 3rd barb coz it made no difference in temp cooling. thanks for the advice.
I think a nice matt pure white paint job on the outside would look good with the chrome. Black would look cool too, or a nice shade of grey
Nice chroming. Where? If you know someone who works for a place that does shopping trolleys or whatever, they will get stuff chromed for you.
Havent done any update yet been busy with work and my radiator hasnt arrived yet i'll keep u guys posted
Well I don't see any - just awesome shinyness. If you're still undecided about a colour for the outside, how about using a colour no-one else has - like a bright lemon yellow, or a sweet deep purple (aubergine/eggplant kinda thing) looks great - can't wait to see some more...
bee : thanks fixed it jazzle : thanks but i think ill go with jet black Guys need help with my res as you can see its with a 3/8" barb. can i just drill the holes to fit a 1/2" barb? wont it crack my res? any help will be appreciated. thanks
Exactly what is the res constructed out of again? Different types of plastic (acrylics, polycarbonates) respond to being drilled differently. IIRC, polycarbonates crack a lot easier. I remember seeing "Plasdrill" bits somewhere. They're made specifically for drilling plastic. And even after that, you'd need a tap to put threads in the holes again. Not sure about tapping that stuff. And whatever you, drill it on a press! Edit: ding ding! we have a winner http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=161&
starbuck3733t : thanks dude found a 3/8" thread with 1/2" for pipe bard, hehehe didnt have to drill thanks for the tip ill keep that in mind
