    Been in Hawaii for 4 days and finally had to take a half day liver recuperation today. There's a bar 3 blocks away with 30+ beers beers on tap, half of which are IPAs (and no bud/Coors/miller/etc). Not to mention the 3 other brewpubs and a liquor store with 100+ beer varieties within walking distance. My liver is going to hate me by the end of the week.

    ...mainly as it's just blown the cork out of the bottle... twice...

    Had to wait almost 5 months to try it, as it was named whiskey of the year shortly after I left to go down under. It's really nothing special tbh, not sure what Jim Murray saw in it. I've tried it neat and on the rocks (which I find slightly better); obviously it's gone nowhere near any coke/mix/etc.

    Have you tried it with a drop of water as well?

    Whisky is pretty subjective at the end of the day - I've thought the same of a few of Jim Murray's darlings over the years, whereas others have simply removed my socks.
