I might build my GH60 with greens. On that note, anyone got a 60% board's worth of greens? Haha!

Fourth mech kb purchased from BLC :)
A KB Paradise V60 GTR, gateron browns.

Maybe I need a non-brown switch one now...
Maybe a TKL to try another form factor...

    Any recommendations?

What about whites? Lower actuation force required, but the spring stiffens to help reduce bottoming.

The Shirty one has a bag of them, I think.

Interesting. Nice and milky, and seeing as I'm a milk enthusiast, I'll like them.

    I'll drop ShirtBro a line.

I am pleased with it - the blue on the sides is much less noticeable in real life and the lighting effects keep the kids amused!

I can highly recommend buckling springs. If you can get your hands on a Model M in good nick it's so so worth it - don't pay more than about £50 though, and for that price you want something utterly pristine. You can get a new buckling spring keyboard from Unicomp for $84 (although I'm not sure what they charge to ship these beasts). I've barely had the inclination to even consider other mech boards for use at home (my colleagues would want to kill me if I tried to use this at work!).

The switch/spring actuation force is roughly similar to MX clears (~65g for clears, ~70g for buckling springs), but the feel - at least to me - is totally different.

Of course, I'm biased since I own two buckling spring boards :D. I think it's a bit of a "marmite" thing... :)

    ...at least...

    ...NO!

In all seriousness I have no idea how many I have left - may have to hit up 7bit for some extras... the compact 1800 was an unintended but exceptional purchase.

I suspect most of you have seen my wanted post in the MP for keycaps, but I thought I'd ask a question here in case people have this thread subscribed.

Where is the best place to buy keycaps? Full sets of individual keys? Preferably without incurring and arm and a leg in import & customs fees...

    I see you like greens?:)
Are they a lot stiffer than blues?

7bit on deskthority is based in Germany(?) but what you consider bulk and what cherry consider bulk are two different things... MOQ=500 if memory serves...

    le link

Greens are awesome - I've mentioned before that they could happily be stiffer still for me but the noise and bump are more or less perfect for my taste. I've got a bunch of whites/clears (not sure which) that I've never gotten around to trying.

The idea was that I'd make one GH60 with greens, the other with the whites/clears... but then the GH-custom-keyboard-curse kicked in and we're now over three years from the start of the buy... if things arrive after September then it'll be over three years from the ETA for delivery...

the above wasn't necessary clear - 7bit will ship you one switch if you like - I think I ordered something like 250 greens?

I actually have one of my GH60 PCBs out of the two I ordered plus the plate I ordered. That's not all that bad...

Can't help there - have many blacks but nothing else (at least ones that I don't need)

Very nice indeed! What caps are they?

Thanks george, I'm keeping my eye on partially working boards on eBay, ie dead LEDs and switches etc with the idea of getting the cheap, repairing if possible and selling on at cost here on the forums, nothing's come up yet.

    Nice.
Have been leaning towards the dark alphanumerics and coloured others, but that looks pretty sweet :)
