Abadon is looking fantastic! And to echo Naloac, kill team is a fantastic way of getting back into 40k. I also highly recommend warhammer underworlds it's a fun little game.
So I finally finished my Reivers last night. Quite happy with the scheme. And the family photo so far:
It's a good scheme - Works nicely! Abaddon is finished! Until the next time I touch the model and find something I missed.
Thanks man, I learned a few things and kind of want to paint another one to try things differently, but I know that'd get looked at weird, having two Abaddon's. That's really smart, but.. how short are these people?! That looks like a foot of stilt bare minimum.
This is why you should continue your 40k Cosplay, you are tall enough to make it work Also a bunch of Goodies arrived from a far eastern Forge world
Sadly at the moment that's not doable! But as soon as it is i'll be back at it. I've got some ideas percolating at the moment, so when a workspace is found I can get to it again. Im having a lot of thoughts around the foot area. I want to gain a good few inches there, but I want the toe to be articulated as that being stiff bugs me about many of these builds - although I understand why it has to be that way. Is that a bunch of those questis knight kits? Or am I miss remembering names of knights and not keeping up with knight names?
yeah its the styrix, i only wanted the Armour panels to be honest because they look badass Gotta wait for some new Bits of Etsy to get my Whole Knight force standing Together as the kit didnt come with the lower arm ( which i need to magnetise anyway)
Those are some cool armour plates thats for sure. I'm thinking about a little kill team, because customising and damaging Intercessors is quite fun, and I'll have four left over with the templars..
Came across this boxset when sorting out some of my stuff since moving Runequest by adidan posted 7 Sep 2019 at 17:33 Looks like it's one of the few survivors after i gave all my GW stuff to my cousin years ago. #anotherthingiregret
Nothing like the regret of getting rid of things! I've been faffing around with these in between other things; Furthering the thinking about a Kill team to actually making the starts of one using spares. Also been working on my heavily-inspired-by-art EC;
I think my biggest complaint is the raised sections on the trim - I feel like it would be an arse to paint. Largely because I'd want the chaos star to be a different colour to the gold trim (perhaps an nnm just for contrast) and the raising sections of the trim make a lot of tight spaces to do a decent gold. Is it possible to deform the trim so it looks like the star grew out of the flat of the plate and distorted the trim? Being as the trim is bolted/riveted in place over the main plate, I think that might look better.
I would agree on Liras comments. Having the chaos star as a "standalone" object, instead of being part of the trim itself would be a nice touch. Certainly going to order a box of Eliminators today, but I might get Shrike and the RG Codex Supplement as well. Not that much of a stretch to run my Raptors as Raven Guard. Unless of course, there is definitive rules to run Lias Issodon in the Codex somewhere.
the raised sections were due to my being utter lazy and just hurling an unedited emboss onto the model This is after a little work, i chucked a 10 second paint job onto to help the contrast
Ah, well, that looks much better to me! Edit: Inceptors are rapidly turning into my least favourite Primaris model to paint. They're like Assault marines, but with less pose options, more mould lines, and far more parts. I may have also cursed one of them to always roll a 'gets hot' thing if that's still a thing.
