a system like that will in fact game, not at ultra high end uber K resolution at a billion FPS, but the main question is what gpu is in it
Most likely more than enough depending on the GPU. You really don't need an 8 core running at 5G to play games.
Thanks guys, the graphic card is a gtx1070, maybe I should swap the board and cpu for a gaming one....
If you have it or are getting it cheap then its fine, don't pay a premium for it though, gaming is all about what GPU and resolution you run, CPU only really matters if you are some elite 240hz 1080p gamer or heavily into VR for most normal people you can get away we a lot less.
Cheers bud, I'll sell the board and cpu and buy a 7700k and a z270 board...I'm not a hardcore gamer... Only play the likes of stalker call of pripyat and the farcry games lol
There will be negligible difference between a 7740 and a 7700k, they are almost the same thing, one is targeted mainstream the other HEDT entry level, so no point changing unless you are going to profit in someway.
I see, thanks matey, it's probably fine for me, didn't realise it would have so many memory slots, I always have to fill the slots it's something I always do, would rather fill 4 slots than 8 money wise.... Its some sort of ocd thing I have going on...
