Boris kicked most of the not-completely-nuts Tory MPs out of the party before the 2019 election. The nutters are all they have left. And then you have the 2019 intake who lower the collective IQ further.
I think you mean Liz "Pork Markets" Truss. Who is ready... well, just read it: Legit, but since deleted - that's from my Tweetdeck cache. She's now replaced it with a promise to "hit the ground running," which comes as a real disappointment quite frankly.
It is truly frightening that this is the best they can come up with. Rishi, who's eat out to help out caused a spike in covid infections, or Liz who probably couldn't find Russia on a map let alone deal with Putin.
To paraphrase a comment i saw on twitter - Looks like we're going from a bad Churchill cosplay to a bad Thatcher cosplay.
She's definitely on something? It's not just me, right? I mean, it's not just me who thinks she's on something. Not that it's just me that's on something. Although that too.
Given the trajectory that the quality of PMs has been on lately we better start preparing the shelters for the next leadership contest where the final two will be Francois and MadNad...
I have a horrible feeling this pantomime is just a sideshow until BJ tries to do a Putinesque comeback.
In the interest of balance, the green carder, tax questionable, COVID fined ex chancellor's response to getting through. Aren't we lucky a very small % of the electorate gets to decide which of these two will take the reins of this out of control clusterfrak...
Whilst he is peak tory (tax dodging) and channeling Tony Blair, at least he appears somewhat competent. The speech to his campaign team wasn't half bad. Would I vote for either of them for PM, no. But if were going to have to eat a **** sandwich, he appears to the be a rabbit **** sandwich rather than a dog **** sandwich of Truss.
Competent, interesting. Record numbers of foodbank users and 40% of universal credit claimants are working. I mean he was Chancellor. BJ was pathetically awful but there's now a choice of two awful replacements. I cannot see the light at the end of this tunnel tbh.
I think Truss will win. The party members vote for who they think is most popular, competence is not a consideration. Pig farmers might be happy...
