As far as immigration numbers go, The wrong ones are being focused on imo.
Instead of targeting the ones who are coming in, Should we not take a look at the reasons people are leaving and try to fix those first.
It also seems that the conservatives after all this time in power still can't get a grip on immigration even after detonating the countries economy. Other than blocking anyone from entering which would annoy big companies exploiting the workers, so that won't happen. I'm not sure how else we "fix the problem"

Provide a safe and legal means of claiming asylum, have an asylum & immigration system that’s properly resourced and actually processes applications, and make it harder for companies to pay an absolute pittance to workers, whether they’re UK-born or shipped in en masse from abroad to undercut local workers.

But apparently strong worker rights & protections are seen as being “woke” these days, so it’ll never happen.

Not really. You should read their manifesto. It's more common sense and practical than what the other parties are offering. Richard Tice has overseen the party for some years without any involvement of Nigal Farage until his recent appointment as chairman.
He's done more for the UK than you or me. A true patriot imo.
The UK is beautiful, but it has been in a managed decline for some time. All my family except parents have emigrated and life is good.

Ah, always a classic: an immigrant arguing that immigration is bad.

Not their immigration, that's different. Other people's immigration is the problem.

Well, who can afford a house with the shortage and get a GP or place at the local school, illegal migrants can. When you have a government who puts British second or last and you have no power to change the system, it's better to put your family first and foremost and move.
Most countries abroad (if you have a profession that is in demand) will happily sponsor you.

More attractive tax policies outside of UK encouraging migration for high earners, just have to be French etc, for a few years.

Truss/Qwasi tried to take steps and keep the quality payers and.... well .....it went down really well :D

Congratulations, we've found another thing you've been lied to about! Illegal immigrants have far, far fewer resources available to them than naturalised citizens. Whether that's money or housing or healthcare or a bunch of other things.

I'm 25, born in England, Just bought a 4 bedroom house with no family help. Seems like it is in fact possible if you're not an illegal migrant.

You're too quick to jump Gareth. I said illegal migrants who are currently housed, fed, subsidised and medically maintained in hotels across the country.

Edit: and the children who haven't vanished are in temporary placement schools.

No you didn't. Dude, you need to stop trying that game, especially when what you actually said is on the same chuffin' page.
You show me one of these illegal migrants who can afford a house. Not the ones being put up in hotels, the ones that can afford - or, as you seem to be implying, have been given - a house of their very own to keep.

My patience is wearing thin. If I have to correct your attempts at arse-covering retcon again, I'mma getting out the banhammer.

Don't be silly, they are illegal and housed by the government. Actually, maybe people can afford a house in an area that will be a new detention centre.
Here are some stats because we all believe in the pursuit of truth and love our country don't we https://www.gov.uk/government/publi.../illegal-migration-bill-overarching-factsheet

That's not at all what you said, and you know it.
Mate, I own two houses right now. Granted, only 'cos I *still* haven't emptied the old one and got it on the market, but it's right-high on my to-do list.

Much higher than arguing with someone who can't stand by their statements and will tie themselves in a bow trying to figure out a way to look like they were right all along.

There is a housing crisis in the UK https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fixing-our-broken-housing-market
It is hard for people to get on the property market and prices are high (friends tell me and gov stats), but illegal migrants can get housed for free.

I'm not bragging, but I have a few too in China and US.

That's the difference between you and I. I don't need to prove anything, the facts will reveal themselves in due course like with the Hillary dossier and something that was once said to be conspiratorial will be factual and true.

You're doing it again. You're conflating two things there: "it is hard to get on the property market" and "illegal migrants can get housed for free."

First, no. They are detained. Some in specialist detention centres, some - yes - in hotels, which is actually cheaper. You can be housed - and fed, and medicated, and educated - for free too: stab a copper and wait by the body. Free government housing for the next 15 to life!

Second, how exactly does detaining illegal migrants in a hotel give them a step on the property market? Do they get a part share in the hotel?

Finally, how does detaining illegal migrants in a hotel cause the prices of non-hotel properties to rise?
Sure, you've spent all day illegally accessing the forum via a VPN 'cos you've got nothing to prove. I warned you about peddling conspiracy theories, didn't I? Have another ban. Let's set it at a month, and I'll have a chat with the mod team to see if it should be made permanent ahead of expiry.

EDIT: And, of course, I didn't see Gareth's reply right before this one, because I was too busy angrily hammering at my keyboard. Will edit out the rant, given the circumstances.
