Let's resorect this threat once again.

It is time for my next upgrade, this time it is based on my new job position, which calls for work from home and I would need to upgrade accordingly.

I am now a Project Estimator in the construction industry.
I work with a lot of Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Autocad, Web Browsing and after work I do occasional gaming, Mostly DOTA2.

New PC should be capable doing both comfortably.

I don't mind second hand parts for anything but the Monitor. I want a new monitor with full warranty.

    Current Build:
    Ryzen 5 3600
    Asus Prime B450M-A
    ASUS GTX 1060
    2x8GB LPX DDR4 @ 3600mhz Corsair vengeance
    650W PSU
    1x NVME
    2x SSDs
    4x HDDs
    Generic case
    3 monitors: very old dell 24' @60hz, another mature dell U24 @60hz, And a 27' @144hz ips viewsonic

    What I need.
    New Monitor ~£1500
At lease 32 inch, the maximum my monitor hand can do is 34 inch. It should be great for productivity and gaming.
I assume OLED is not great for productivity, so it should ideally be 4k IPS at least 144hz to match my current monitor's refresh rate as I'm used to it so well. Budget for monitor ~£1500 (flexible). Worth investing in something I'll be spending all my day in front of.

Budget for the rest of the computer is about £1300 - £1500 to be split between the rest of the components accordingly.

    - Need faster CPU so CAD drawings and markups load quicker.

    - ideally a bigger more capable motherboard with more ports including USB-C, I have a lot of hard drives and peripherals, currently all my USB ports are in use and I even have 2x USB hubs. Ideally with more than 1 pci E slot for the gpu, as having only 1 slot created issues trying to use the internal ports around the gpu.

-current GPU is not bad for the gaming I do, but if I have a budget I don't mind upgrading. As I said I play DOTA2 currently at around 100-120 fps.

-psu is about 8-10 years old at this point, so probably not a bad idea to be replaced with more capable unit.

-RAM is probably important for the job I'll be doing, so perhaps an upgrade is necessary.

-no need for new storage, although another nvme at least 1tb might be a great addition. So the motherboard should have slots for at least 2 nvmes.

-case, fans etc... Whatever budget is left. I have 6 fans in my old case, might as well use them.
Case should fit inside the PC holder mount on the Secretlab Magnus Standing Desk.

-good quality cpu cooler. Could be fan or water, no preferences.
    -no need for other peripherals.
-RGBs and Water Cooling is optional. I will have some spare budget when I sell my old parts.

Can anyone recommend a suitable build?

Needless to say that Bittech Forums has always been my go-to place when I am upgrading or having any tech related questions. You guys are awesome and I can't thank you enough for what you guys do.

might be worth keeping most of it and just try and get a faster cpu, 3060/70 new screen and more ram

I am mostly interested and in doubt about the monitor.
To be honest I am pretty ok with the Performance of the PC for the moment, but I have spare budget I could spend to future proof it. As I work from home my boss is keen to get me a high end setup that I will feel comfortable with, as I spent all my day in front of screen. And he knows how passionate I am for new tech.

However I can't make up my mind about the monitor. Watched a lot of reviews but still unshure what would be the best option for my needs.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the size limitations of a monitor arm, pay more attention to the weight it can support.

Same with TV wall brackets. I bought a max 24” mount that supported up to 50kg, I slapped a 47” heavy boy on that and it hasn’t moved since the day I put it there.

Your motherboard supports CPUs right up to R9 5950X. R7 5800X and R9 5900X are both well down in price now, so would leave plenty of budget for other things.

This is the Arm that Secretlab designed themselves to fit in their fency desk, as it has a cable compartment built inside the desk .

    • C-clamp mount
    • VESA MIS-D compatible (hole pattern: 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm)
    • Max. screen size: 34” monitor on each arm
    • Min. weight: 2kg per arm
    • Max. weight: 8kg per arm
    • Max interface recessed: 10mm (spacers provided)
    • Tilt range: +90°/-90°
    • Screen swivel range: +90°/-90°
    • Screen rotation range: +90°/-90°
    • Height Adjustment Range: 295mm

Personally, I’d step down on the PSU as I can’t imagine you need 1500w, unless there is a particular reason you want that model, but I would look for a lower latency RAM kit maybe 6000 C30. That should squeeze more performance out of the AMD chip

    OK I placed the order.

Removed the Storage as i already have plenty, upgraded the RAM as suggested by @BeauchN to

    G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO Series (AMD Expo) 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000 CL30-40-40-96 1.40V Dual Channel Desktop Memory F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N (Matte Black)
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BJP3MRW1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Changed the Case for more clean look with the
Fractal Design Define 7 (Dark TG) Gaming Case w/ Dark Tint Glass Window, E-ATX, Multibracket, 3 Fans, Fan Hub, Silence-optimized, USB-C
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B084ZYB7P6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@DeanSUNIAIU I couldn't find Nor-RBG cooler that has silent mode with good fans with good ratings. So i stuck with the Corsair one, but upgraded to the 140mm fans as it should be less noisy the larger the fans are?

I wanted to make sure PC will be well futureproofed for at least 7-8 years.

When I sell my old setup, any money I take from there I will use for a new GPU. I have no idea how much I could ask for my old setup without the hard drives.
Any guide price I should be asking for this ?

    Current Build:
    Ryzen 5 3600
    Asus Prime B450M-A
    ASUS GTX 1060
    2x8GB LPX DDR4 @ 3600mhz Corsair vengeance
    650W PSU

Arctic liquid freezer 2, pretty much the best aio you can get, no RGB.
    https://amzn.eu/d/d5G4YcN

Also the ek ones come in non RGB flavour
    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/

If you bought that H115i RGB ELITE, those fans are really really good and you can always turn the LEDs off. Or maybe set to white.

Yes I already paid for all the parts , including the H115i , I came across the Arctic Cooler, but was not sure about the shape of the element that attaches to the CPU. It looked too big and didn't want to risk it clashing with surrounding elements, so I scrolled past and came across the H115i. If there is option to set the colour to White or to disable it all together will do the job. And I would enjoy silent case in idle for a change, as I don't turn off my computer.

After 12 hours of unfair battle with my new build due to lack of experience and knowledge I finally get it to run. And I am happy with how it turned out visually.
This was only 50% of the battle. I am unable to boot my OS from my old M.2 NVME, and now going to spend another day trying to sort it out. If I can't, off to a new OS installation and another days of setting up every software and settings I prefer.
