    Just wanted to say...

Hi. I've just started following the great new case mod from piloux after finding out about his first one. And reading that mammoth thread came across your project.

My personal opion is that your case TheSchumi, is the best out of the three hl2 cases. Piloux's first case i though was better than his second because there is just too much going on in the second one. Your's is even better then that because it really looks like it could have come straight out of the came. Not too fancy - I mean your really not going to see a case with loads of bits on it and loads of logos. Yours is more subtle.

But dont misunderstand they are all absolutly amazing. Amazing.

What I would like to know is how many hours it has taken/is taking and whats the total cost (excluding and including non standard tools - if possible)?

And lastly how much would it cost me for you to build one for me, with minimal computer parts (i.e. no ram, processor)?

    Only joking.

    Well, actually not.

    Really, how much?

    Thanks, crack_ker.

^ Agrees w/ my way of thinking. Piloux ownz, but this is visually the most pleasing. And the steam...:jawdrop::jawdrop:Keep it up, TheSchumi!

Thanks for complements, but Piloux has made the first steps to create an HL2-Case. So its much easier to build another HL2-Case with a collection main like Piloux first case.

Mhhh... how many hours?! Let me see... approximately 80-100 hours. I think so. But i don't know how much it cost. Sorry :duh:

really great work! the steam generator is very cool, so cool in fact that I plan on using it in a future mod. But you get the credit. :dremel:

p.s. - I voted you for 5 stars, thought you'd like to know.

    Total rip off,

This is better because the schummi saw what he did, practically copied off piloux added some stuff to it to make it better, thats why its better then piloux's.

I think this is just total copy of piloux's case but better...
    ghey no affence

so your praising and slamming him in the same sentence? :eyebrow: comeon, Schumi already said his case resemebles piloux's in the end result. As I (and many others) have said in previous posts in this thread, give the guy credit where it is due, we all know piloux was a pioneer in the rust-look cases and its an awesome idea, and for schumi's resulting case to look as good (even better IMHO) then piloux is a feat in itself
    [/RANT]

steam affect kicks some major tail, keep it up Schumi :D

Here a littel update... yesterday i worked on the keyboard. First i colored the keys with transparent orange Lacquer. After that i cut a logo inside the keyboard and put an old orange jewel-case into it :dremel: After that some priming-soloution.

Here you can see the logo...

Here you can see a test with a yellow LED...

Its only a BETA-VERSION of the keyboard. At the weekend i have to "rust" the whole keyboard, make some tears and scratches at the keyboard and install a orange LED behind the Logo. Pics will follow end of the weekend.

Also i agree, stop bashing it everyone, this guy is working hard to achieve what he wants... to me, its a lot better than some people can do! i woulda never figured out how to rust anything wihtout these guys... these are founders of modding, they are doing the same thing, but with their own touches... every modder copies another... do you use exhaust fans?!?! someone else did it before, so dont diss. this is a great case, good work! i too am a fellow german, whom lives in the united states. here in the states, we drool over such mods, and to me it doesnt make a difference if its copied, its beautiful! more props man, you rock!
