Frequently go over 100 in my Saab 900 around the M25, and 120 up and down the M40. Most of the time I don't even know I'm going that fast - until I check the speedo - I've never actually floored the car yet...

Well 128 in my 01 Jetta 1.8T and 115 in my mom's 01 Jetta Wagon 2.0 both stock. And the wagon took me about 3 mi to get up to that then it hit the limiter so I backed off. I think my Jetta would have gone to 130 till the limiter kicked in but I only had the car for a week at that time. I raced Porsche 911's a few years ago with my uncle till I moved from Chicago to Dallas but now he sold them and his shop to move down here and get into another type of car. Don’t know what it is but the only thing I can think of is a Ferrari caws that’s the only club racing that’s around here, although RUF opened a few months ago maybe he will go with them. I’m trying to get him to think about the Gumball 3000 and then go back to track racing. A lot of roads around here get bad because of the summer heat so you haft to think out where you go so you don’t rip anything off going fast over potholes.

I don't think the E36 models were electronically limited. Even if they are i'm sure it doesn't take too much effort to find someone willing to remove it for a little cash.

Fastest I have ever been on a public road 160mph on the back of a tuned ZZR1100, safe to say I had brown trousers afterwards.
Also been 115mph in a Nova Merit (with a boot!) down the A1 with radio hanging out of it's hole trying to catch a Porchse 911 with a loony mate at the wheel (titaniumangel)!! Ya beaut!!
