The photo is beautiful. I don't like the text on the image; oddly enough I think it detracts from the message. Also, is it just me or is there some kind of text written along the bottom? It almost looks like Wingdings or something. I find that I spend more time trying to decipher the symbols at the bottom than paying attention to the image presented.

The photo by itself is a fantastic shot. Well spotted and well executed. Remove the text and you've got a photo worthy of a large print on the wall!

    amazing photograph.

pretentious framing, text and random symbols along bottom --> bad.

I can dig the text and random symbols, but is the white canvas and dropshadow that bad?

I agree with Fod - although I thought it was a photo of a plaque initially (i.e. a mirror on a white wall!)

yeah much, but tbh i am not generally a fan of borders.

i think simple black ones work well occasionally, sometimes the subject matter fits.

so yeah, critique on the image. the overall feel of the image is great, fits the theme perfectly. compositionally it's strong, although the tourist seems a little cut short. exposure is spot on, focus is great, generally it's a top notch pic. although i know it's not your fault, but the floating stuff kinda detracts a bit.

Agreed with all of the above right down to the distractive symbols but it's all been sorted before I got to post.

    Wonderful wonderful shot. Congrats. :thumb:
