Here is my entry. I had a few others to choose from but I liked this one best.

Nice and sharp, the focus is in the right place too. Can't tell if it's this monitor or not but I'd get rid of the pink tint on the top of the water in the foreground. Is this some sort of water feature?

I guess so. There was some red thingy above the day I took the photo.
Maybe I'll have a play once I get home and see if I can fix it.
Any suggestions how? I don't want the photo to look too messy. I presume just take red down, or perhaps cut it off at a certain level in the histogram thinger?

If you adjust the red in the overall picture, your nice bricks are going to start shifting as well.

If you want to eliminate the little bit of red in the water, you could try doing it locally, using the dodge tool in the red layer.

Just use a channel mixer layer with a mask gradient. :)

I prettyt much only use Photoshop to convert RAWR files into jpg/tiff.
I had a bit of a poke around. Is it something obvious I missed, or what kind of steps do I take to do that?

I might have a look around later on. I need to be heading off to bed.

I can see why you've used the selective colour layer on that photo (looks very effective) but I'm not quite sure why there's a mask over the layer. There is no red on the left of the picture anyway.

Well, after mucking around for a while, I made no change to the image. The difference is very noticeable, so I didn't bother cropping and resizing and all.

I don't really know how to do any of that stuff in photoshop as I never use it. mucked around with "lens" settings in photoshop and some stuff in paint shop pro.

EDIT: Pardon any bitterness there, I was tired, hungry and grouchy at time of posting ;)

Just to demonstrate the use of masks for selective application, tbh.
