yup most likely because COD5 is being built on the COD4 engine.

Whisky bottle ? For real ? Strange free gift for the collectors edition ! Most will never be used.. ever.

No mention of any toxic DRM yet either for this game. Am praying the multiplayer is as good if not better than Cod4, although Im still waiting for a game with better multiplayer than BF2 to be honest. And no, counterstrike is not the answer unless you are 12 yrs old.

same as CoD4? in that case, then CoD2 up to 5 are using the same engine?

i hope they do a physics system in it, and character dying is more realistic like in STALKER

Fix the imba perks and weapons and I'll be happy with the multiplayer.

Adding another imba feature for those willing to pay extra doesn't really seem like a step to the right direction :< SadPanda will remain sad.

Infinity Ward designed a whole new engine for COD4. It's Treyarchs turn to make the next COD and they liked the COD4 engine so they're using it for COD5. One of the reasons COD3 blew was because Treyarch wanted their own engine.

    COD- IW: Quake3 engine
COD2- IW: Quake3 engine proprietary modifications
    COD3- Treyarch: Treyarch NGL Engine
    COD4- IW: proprietary (nickname:Warfare Engine)
    COD5- Treyarch: COD4 engine
    COD6- IW: ???

CoD4 is good fun... but i expect this to be better. gameplay wise that is.

i still prefer BF2 series becoz of the map size and gameplay... CoD is just twitch reflex shooter where 90% of the players r playin the same old deathmatch or team-deatchmatch. boring, but pretty. but still pretty boring. the fun didnt last.

All they did was add a title to spice it up. It is COD5.

never mind i doubt the high power weapon will be available in multi player unless it's a military knife for the allies and katana for the enemy "which while equip makes u invincible for 30 seconds every time u equip it"

Fix or remove the perks and fix the engine then multiplayer might actually be fun.

i enjoy the perk system. but seriously, martyrdom -> remove, its a zero skill imba perk. at least other perks require *some* nouse. o yea airstrike -> nerf. helicopter -> nerf. (assuming equivalents in cod5, i know its ww2).

this is rediculous... they are doing world war 2 again. call of duty has done ww2 3 games in a row, and none of their games did that well in terms of sales. but when they released cod4 modern warfare (which obviously takes place in modern times) the sales were HUGE, i dont know a single person that has and xbox or gaming pc that DOESNT have cod4. im sure activision knows this, so why would they ever IMAGE going back to ww2 when its done so bad in the past? doesnt make any sense to me, but hey, im not making the games now am i?

i feel that the pacific part of the war is very very very difficult to do... every game that uses this scenario is usually bad or not very good.

The perks on CoD4 are very unbalanced, I only use a few of them. Also Airstrike and Heli ruin KtD ratios on both sides.

I don't know why you say the other 3 CoDs did badly, I have CoD2 on Xbox and it was one of the best games I've ever played.
