Say that in a Dr Evil voice people, its true! 300MB RAW data transfer per second, around 1GB per picture, 7,500 x 21,250 pixels, 640x480 Screen, networkable, the storage IS a PC AND it has a great big red button! http://www.roundshot.ch/xml_1/internet/de/application/d438/d925/f934.cfm
Its also huge... and I mean broadcasting grade video camera "big" but it is one hell of a camera and if you can stand the bills and the pains of carrying it around with its one computer then go ahead...
hah...hah HAHAHAHAHAHAH scroll down jamie! and look to where it says "Fully mobile and open system" That thing is huge!
Considering you're wielding a camera that takes photos at ten times the resolution of current high end cameras, I'd say it's fairly compact.
The advanced computer they've 'developed' looks a lot like a Mac Mini to me. Not seen the back of a Mac Mini though so I might be wrong.
I have a better idea forget pictures and just watch the real thing and keep it as a memory much cheaper and more compact...that thing is laughable waste of money...
You're absolutely right, we should get rid of cameras completely and go back to just telling other people what events looked like. Computers? Yeah they're a waste of money and electricity too, we should get rid of the entire internet infrastructure and just rely on word of mouth to spread information, since all this hardware is clearly a huge, laughable waste of money. Honestly if you held that opinion there would never be any progress, and we'd still be stuck with incredibly basic film cameras from centuries ago. You can apply the 'waste of money' logic to any high-end equipment. Spending £800 on a processor, why would anyone do that unless they wanted the very best, and that's exactly what's going on here.
I beleive a digital back for a medium format camera costs more than that and fwiw i think its quite compact for what it is. It is not intended to be something your average joe takes out and about to get some holiday snaps.
hahaha, pretty ridiculous, I ond't think anyone will use it for any length of time other than studio and product photographers
That is a beast. But what photo shop or online shop allow you to have a 300mb photo printed???? I have trouble with photos being 20mb as they refuse to print them??
You could get it done at jessops if they will drag it through manually on their IBM server, their kiosks would just have a fit though
