Agreed, until this one dies or something better comes along I can wait until next year. Let's be honest, there's nothing else to wait for.

Should allow the associated tech (motherboards, chipsets etc) to mature nicely. Or stagnate, idk :D

Intel clearly don't feel under too much pressure from AMD, do they?

Games expand to fill the computing power available.

    Interesting read, thanks.

Very true, and it takes new high-end products to drag the mainstream further along - and it is mainstream components that games are targeted at.

Indeed! Transition to 22nm FINFET isn't easy even for almighty Intel...or maybe their driver teams are having difficulties with HD4000? One might start spreading wonderful rumours these days...

Perhaps their industrial spies have had an early look at Bulldozer benchmarks and thought.."Meh..nothing to worry about there...SB will do fine for now"..

    OR
Perhaps Intel are thinking "lets just delay a little, so we can see how fast bulldozer really is and adjust ours IF we need to"

I think he was joking. Surely he can't be serious when posting the link, only thing semi accurate is good for is a laugh before bed.

Makes me feel that more games like crysis should be developed.. They really MAKE hardware manufacturers take a GIANT LEAP.. Not many games dent the i series processors..so.. true..no need for an upgrade any time soon..
