Can't see interest being all that high tbh, given MS haven't bothered releasing any of the recent Halo games on PC... and by the time such a port did eventually materialise, most of the ppl who wanted to play it, probably already would have on XB1...

For it to work, they'd need to release a PC equivalent of the Master Chief Collection... which would mean re-doing/fixing the god-awful port of Halo 2 they did [amongst other things]...

I loved the original Halo ...on PC. The multi-player was a lot of fun. I game on PC only (like others only games on PS or Xbox. So....

Releasing this on PC is unlikely to cannibalise Xbox sales while only increase Halo sales.... and win10 IF it is prevented from being backward compatible all the way back to win7 (DX12 only would of course do this).

Last Halo game i played was Halo 2, skipped the 360 console and have no intention of getting an Xbox One, so yeah, for me to be interested in this, they'd have to go the whole hog and release a PC Master Chief collection in order to catch up with the story arc.

Oh God it's Halo 2 again, because of course people will install a whole new Operating System for one game that's a couple of years old.
    .
I know that's not what they've said, but it's Microsoft, they're nothing if not a predictable bunch

i'm sure a majority of gamers have a pc as well as one console - i've not jumped into the current gen as the PC gets almost all big name console games now but i must say exclusives such as bloodborne or halo would sway my decision.

that said, whist there is a mere chance i'd buy an xbone when current gen consoles drop below £200 i'd definitely buy halo 5 and master chief collection if they got released on PC.

If this comes to pc I would buy it, even though I will be buying it on the Xbox One next month.

The Halo games and Destiny is pretty much the only reason I got a Xbox in the first place, but hopefully Halo 5 and Destiny 2 will come to the pc and then my Xbox is pretty much done for.

having a PC release will not impact console owner that much. not even for potential buyers.

having a PC release will impact Windows 10 uptake IF it's a Windows-10 only.

    they should do it.
