    Interesting! I assume it still has eGPU capability via Thunderbolt 3?

    Why are connectors along the sides considered preferable?

    I would much prefer power and Thunderbolt to be on the back. That way I can have a much cleaner workspace as the cables for power and the Thunderbolt hub (which has everything else connected to it) run straight out the back of the machine and I don't have to contend with wires sticking out at ninety degree angles.

    In fact, besides 3.5mm, a card reader and maybe a USB-A for thumb drivers I see no point of connectors on the side at all, they just get in the way. Still a nice looking laptop though, as Razers tend to be.

    I suspect because it allows the laptop dimensions to be significantly shrunk.

    If they were at the back the hinging for the screen would have to be above the ports - Which would add the depth of the hinges to the height of the laptop.

    If it was a luggable/desktop replacement "laptop" Then I'd agree with you. Might as well have ports on the back.
