    Hi,

I'm just finishing off my stealth black w/c'd server mod project and need an lcd to finish it off! (obviously:D )

I was wondering about going the whole hog and doing a second monitor effort in the remaining drive bays to display cool stuff like Motherboard Monitor, Email, winamp plugins, DVD etc. Ya get the picture :dude:

What I neeeeed is a bit of info - where's best (cheapest!) to get a 4"TFT LCD display from - I'm looking for one with an S-video input to make things nice n easy which leads to the second bit....

Could I run this from the s-vid out on my Ti4400 using Nview? I ask co's I know it'll do dual monitors etc but I want to run my main monitor and the TFT at different refresh rates/resolutions.

Any suggestions pls :) Oh, yeah... me is in the UK so if you can suggest places in the UK then that'd be cool :)

    Coolrunnin

buy a pocket tv with a s-video imput (has all the circuitry you need there) the best places to look for them are these small 2nd hand shops & i think you gf4 should be able to do all that, as far as i kno it will jsut treat it as a 2nd monitor & you can set different res & refresh rates as memory recalls
(or you could send the money you were going to spend to me :D so i can get rid of my gf 2mx (yes i am still using one of them)

I have a 5" currently running on my setup..I don't think they make a bare lcd with s-video, so you'll have to use rca. If you only have s-video on your card, they do sell adapters...but make sure they are 2 way s-video->rca adapters or the picture will come out in black and white. I have the radeon 8500 and the s-video on the back is "tied" to the second screen. So i have winamp running the milkdrop plugin on it (it gives you the option to run it full screen on either monitor)..and i picked up the screen from on the go audio in the US (its an ebay store) hope this helps!

Thanks for all that info - I've got a lot of stuff to consider now! looks like the US is gonna be one of the best for price but I'll have to research different manufacturers to get the best deal.
    Thanks again:D

Had to shelve the 4" TFT - couldn't find a suitably priced TFT that would ship to the UK. I've gone for a nice Matrix Orbital LCD instead:D I'll still keep looking for TFTs though and I'll still post if I find anything cheap!:)
