    Had it running at any other speeds like 3200 or 3600?

    Edit: although xmp should really work out of the box

    Ryzen 3XXX chips should be fine. Ryzen 2XXX chips all top out at 36-something, but I'm assuming this in your new Ryzen 9 system?

    #Edit. Randomly the Asus specs for the X570 TUF list 4400 and 3466 but nothing in between. Maybe it's the board doesn't like those settings.

    Looking back at the link didn't fill me with hope.

    It is running 3200 fine as I type this, I'll push a little harder in a bit.

    The FCLK 1:1 ratio tops out at 3733 doesn't it? Would the FCLK need to be manually set for anything above that to stop it kicking in a 2:1 memory to infinity fabric ratio?

    I think the benefit of faster ram is dropping it to 3600/3733 and getting tighter timings? Sorry, kinda working of my own memory and don't know if much changed with the 3000 series.

    1:1 ratio tops at 3800MHz, in case your CPU is even capable of running the infinity fabric at 1900MHz (not all chips are capable). That is why DDR4-3600 is recommended, as that puts IF to 1800MHz, which nearly all CPUs could do.

    I don't even know what an FCLK is yet. I'll play some more tomorrow, I've proper done my back in sitting on the floor for 8 hours. If I can even move tomorrow, that is.

    That's the bugger I was looking for, but I went to bed though :happy:

    Edit: @Vault-Tec you may have checked the manual anyway but iirc but on my board I had to use specific dimm slots for ram above a certain speed in a paired set.

    Yeah they were in the wrong slots at first. They were then in single channel, so I figured it out. Not easy when your board is upside down lmao.

    I'll have a play later. Been doing some reading this morning :)
