    Hello

can anyone recommend me a good 4 gb kit of ddr2 ram (800mhz, 2x2gb sticks)
out of these the ocz new reaper model looks quite good and even the corsair looks ok.
the 8gb is tempting me (cant resisit...)

64 bit Vista supports more than 4GB. 32 bit supports 2.8. (Read my below post)

    get the reaper X

also they do it in 1000mhz arround £115-£135 i think

as for 8gb make sure your mobo can run it, i no lots say they do, but its alot of strain on your north bridge and memory controler

You could always get 4Gb of Value RAM (6400C5 - 2x2GB) for £40 if you know where to look..

the reason for the Reaper X 800 is low latency 4-4-3-15 2T

and the Reaper X 1000 will do 1066-1100 easy, i have it in another rig, @1125mhz 5-5-5-18-2T

it makes enough of a difference to get

and there is no mention of budget!

That is the same kit I picked up. I run it at 1000MHz 5-5-5-15 2T. With extra voltage, I've run it at 900MHz 4-3-4-12 2T. I'm sure I can push it more, I didn't take the spreaders off, but from what I've read they're D9 IC's.

I bought the 4GHz ReaperX PC6400 kit and it clocks like mad. Easily got over 1100MHz out of it :)

If you're looking for high-density kits like these, you're probably seeking raw capacity over bandwidth. PC6400 kits seem perfectly fine to me. G.Skill and some Mushkin 1.8v 4GB kits are a good buy.
