4ns ram only working at 445mhz.

    Just got a leadtek winfast a340 tdh. Basically an FX5200 with 4ns ram, but the goddarn thing will only goto 445 any higher and pink bits start showing up on the desktop.

    Forgive me for being stupid, but what's the normal memory speed of those cards? 445Mhz doesn't sound too bad to me...

    the standard speed is 400mhz which is 5ns but this card is eqiuped with 4ns ram which is 500mhz

    my previous card had 4ns and was capable of 540mhz.

    whip off the heatsink and have a peek at the part number on the ram and then search for that with the respective ram company and you can find out all about it

    for example the ram on my graphics card is HY5DU283222 AF-22
    if you search on hynix's website for it it comes up with everything you would ever want to know about it, tells me it is rated for a max of 900MHz DDR, im quite surprised it overclocks to 975MHz
