Assuming its boxed with all the bits, id say its about right. I personally wouldnt pay more than £230 because i got mine for £250 a long time ago.

But yeah, its about right in my opinion.

    Great cards :)

7970's higher memory bandwidth and capacity definitely gives it an edge over the 760. If not in many games right now, it'll become an issue before long.

What make is the 7970? They range over £100 in price from the non-brand (VTX3D) to the high end, but £240 is the same as you pay for a 7950 new.

Also consider overclocking a second hand 7950. I got mine for £170 around March/April when the card was just 2 weeks old, and it's a beautiful match for 1080p.

In general the 7970 is a quick card and getting one new with warranty for £240 is a bargin considering nearly all of them will hit gz clock speed giving you the same performance of those more expensive cards.

Overclockers sales usauly are a random selection of cards with no guarentees on what you get. You may even get one of the upgraded ones you just never know.

If it was my cash £240 is a bit of a steal and difficult to turn down. Its over £150 less than they were just 12 months ago.

I checked this and its a custom cooled 1050mhz on core edition. Go hit buy before it sells out as that is a bargin of the century.

There are 680 on sale for £270 new on overclockers AT the moment... Thinking that is a pretty sweet deal?

There both around the same performance of the much more expensive 770 so its a pretty decent bargin.

The 7970 is actually a ridiculously good buy if you can snag one without the stock cooler.

It's surprisingly fast for what it is too.

Great card and I agree the price is good. However before buying I would make sure that this is one of the cards without locked voltage.
