    DFi LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR

I've got this motherBoard, and im after a BFG GeForce 8800 GTX. Wich needs a 16x PCI-e slot to run. now this bit
I think that means just running the one card will run at 16x speed, but im just slightly confused. Can anyone correct me, or confirm that the card runs on this mobo.

    yeh looks like it'll either give you 2X8's or a 16 and a 2.

I think your potential 8800 will be ok, not to sure however, But as long as u dont do SLI with it, i think your fine, u would need a 680i chipset for SLI 8800 series cards, i think.

a 590 should be oaky for sli too as its full speed 16X, in fact i think the nf4 ultra is too, but it may not support the 8800 in other ways

It'll run 1 happily, but with SLi the word is that you need 2 full-speed x16 slots. Although the big question is, why do you need an 8800 GTX for an A64 setup?

The Geforce 8800GTX should be fine with slot wired for an 8x PCI-E connection (it does require a 16x physical slot though).

That DFI motherboard has two 16x physical slots and under SLI mode, both slots will have an 8x wired connection. Two Geforce 8800GTX's will work fine with it.

The top slot on the DFI motherboard will be wired for a 16x connection with a single graphics card installed. The other physical 16x slot will only sport a 2x connection and can be used for other PCI-E devices like S-ATA controllers.
