Legos are very versatile and can be used for pretty much anything...I use them to build computer cases.

I know it has been done many times before, but now it's my turn to try.

    Here is a start:

The components and the old beat up case:

    The base:

    The Legos:

I started construction on the back side, using mainly red bricks with occasionally some flat grey and dark grey bricks for support.

Oh boy. I can get to a Lego store in a 25 minute drive, and I am very tempted to go there and build a pc case now.
Keep up the great lego workmanship.

An Old Idee but Purely Cool ! It need Only one thing, 4 or 5 Lego Character to make a Firing Squad and a mini Lego-Vince Zampella.

This is all the further I want to go right now, because I don't have a HDD or PSU.

On the plus side, organizing cables with Legos is super easy!

The HDD I can get from a friend, but it will take a while.

Does anyone here have a spare PSU laying around they would like to donate? I'll pay the shipping:p.

I tried that, but the mobo and the bricks didn't line up like I would have wanted them to. Right now, it seems very stable (it won't dislodge or even move much with a forceful tug or push), so I think that it will be ok.

I was just looking over some other people's mods, and I was like :jawdrop: at the sheer amount of work some people put into their mods! My Lego case is taking no time at all...but then again it's not like I'm trying to make it perfect. Maybe if I had access to a Lego store with specific bricks in large quantities, maybe I could achieve something like this: [IMG]

Ok, for the power supply, should I get something like this? I calculated the power draw from here and here and the eXtreme calculator said 181 watts, and the Newegg calculator said 280 watts.

Also, some more shots of my Lego PC (I added the top wall layer and also some more reinforcements for the mobo and wire organization):

I was thinking of adding a CD drive, but decided against it because it would take up too much space, being too bulky.

Nah, I just have a lot of Legos.
I'll skip on a Lego PC, I don't want to invite any visiting youngsters to break my computer.:hehe:

This looks like it might be sweet. I'm definitely following!

One question: Do you plan on painting it all when you finish? From what you have, it seems like most of the pieces you have aren't all one solid color.

I'm not planning on painting it, I'm probably going to leave to color scheme as it is (I don't really have tons of basic lego bricks).

Kind of both. I'm not gluing the pieces, but It will probably stay as a case for the foreseeable future (as a computer in my room).
