Whilst in the process of putting together my modest new build, I was having serious difficulty squeezing a new USB 3.0 front end into the 2.5" bay it was supposed to fit in.

I tried pushing and coaxing, and ended up trying to bend the metal brackets it was sat on, when all of a sudden it started slipping in easily. Feeling further, I discovered a greasy like substance had appeared around the bay, and was lubrication the chassis into place.

Puzzled, I grabbed a torch and peered into the case, to discover the drive bay and surrounding area completely covered in blood. Turns out I'd slashed my thumb open on the sharp metal.

Moral of the story: be careful of sharp edges, but also that blood is an under-rated tool for PC building.

Ah, this takes me back to the day when a bead of sweat landed on my 9800XT frying it in the process!

I always carry a fresh bottle around. It's better than WD40.

The title 'Bed Time Story' made me think of Major Payne.

Gashed my hand open on every single CPU cooler I've installed to date, I just don't know what it is that makes it happen to me...
