I have an A320M-H rev 1.2 and a Ryzen 5500 both of which should play nicely together if I update the BIOS. Has anyone done this and is there any way of flashing the BIOS without buying another CPU? If so cheapest I've seen would be from CEX for an A10-9700E £25 plus postage which I'm slowly resigning myself to getting and then having to sell back or sell on! Just wondering if anyone can advise another solution!?!?
Last time I had the same problem, I bought a CPU from amazon, did the update, then returned the CPU for a full refund.
Not the same hardware, I had the wife's Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 to take an R5 2600. Just check the CPU support list and get something your existing BIOS supports, so you can do the update. This https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-H-rev-1x/support#support-cpu Should help.
You could always ask in the marketplace and see if someone could either loan you a CPU or do the flash for you.
I can help there @Greentrident. I have a Ryzen 3 1200 that is surplus and is due to go on the MP, which you could borrow if it'll do the trick.
Thanks, let me have a think whether I am going to get trouble to doing anything with it all in the near future - if not I'm probably better waiting or buying a cheap one rather than sitting on yours!
