    Well,

I've just dragged our old PC back out of the loft with the intention of bringing it back to life, which in the grand scheme of things, shouldn't be too difficult as it only needs a couple of components.

    A HDD

    and a Chipset Fan.

Its the chipset fan that is proving to be difficult to get hold of. Hence me coming back here!

Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a Chipset Fan for an ASUS A8N Sli Deluxe?

I have seen the repair kits on ebay but, I need the fan and the cover (and screws).

    Thanks

I had two A8N SLI Deluxe boards, and both fans died.

Make do and mend is usually the best approach - find a similar sized fan and mod it in there.

I would just put on a good tower type heatsink. That way you don't have a little crap whiny fan on there at all. A bigger heatsink will work better and should be easy and cheap to find.

As long as you don't need to use really long card in the pci-e 1x slot it shouldn't pose any issue.
