I have one of these Aaka DouDock S 3.5"/2.5" sata disk caddy which works fine in Windows XP but not so good in Windows 7 64 bit: when a disk is dropped into the caddy which is then switched on, the drive appears in Windows Explorer for about 60 seconds and then vanishes - if during that time some I/O such as file copying is happening, it'll fail with a "device not found" error message.

I left wondering if this device works with 64 bit Windows 7, otherwise I might have to return it for a Sharkoon disk caddy which, given that my Sharkoon USB2 drive link works, should work flawlessly.

Has anyone else out there got the Akasa Duodock working with Win7 x64?

Are you using it over USB2 or USB3?

I've tried with both and with different leads, but I primarily use it with USB3

Have you tried it on another PC or laptop? Updated USB3 drivers?

Done all that. As I said I've tried it with 32 bit WinXP and it works. Tried it with Win 7 32 bit and it works. What I really need is another Win7 64 bit system to try it on.
